I wanted to by myself a new Multicam BDU and was obviously looking at Crye Precisions one but a friend said ''wait there is SOD Gear also producing a great combat uniform why don't' you try it''.. So I contacted them and ordered one but before doing so I took a look at my fried's one and was very impressed. The BDU is built with original Crye precision materials in NyCo 50%-50% ripstop.

The Spectre Shirt has a perfect fit and follows your body lines. On the front you have 2 big pockets with easy access and velcro for your ID/name patches, another 2 pockets on the arms. To open /close your jacket there is a big YKK zipper. You also get velcro on your neck possibly for IR patches.

And again huge piece of velcro on both wrists which makes it easy to adjust it tou your ideal size.

Under both arms you have zippers for aeration useful during the hot season. And constructed in the elbow you have foam protection which takes the shape and fit of yours by constant use of the jacket. (same thing with the knee pads)!

The one thing I really love of this set are the trousers or ParĂ One Pants as they call them at S.O.D. , to be honest I don't have another pair of jeans or any other kind of trousers which are so comfortable.
For starters the waist is padded and when worn you don't feel them and are great if you are wearing on top a tactical belt with holster, additional mags and all sort of accessories, the padded waist of the trousers just give you that comfortable feeling you don't get with standard BDU trousers.

You also get remouvable knee pads, useful for everyday use or for your walking/trakking days but not really good for tactical use as if you get your knee on stones or other shard/hard surfaces you could get hurt in which case you wish you had your standard knee pads.. i.e. Alta.

The trousers also have elastic cords on the ankles, which you tight aroung your boot, avoiding stuff or animals getting up your leg.

Two back pockets are built with an angle for easy access.

Other key feature of the BDU is the Boonie Hat, constructed with high specs. For starters you get velcro on top for IR patches.

The hat has 2 vets on both sides to facilitate areation and inside you have a sponge band on the forehead for preventing swet dropping on your face (it really works) and the hat is also lined with a X-Static net in silver fiber which give it antibacterical features and protection from electromagnetic waves.

Well a state of the art boonie hat.
In all I have to say IMHO this is the best BDU I ever had and believe me very difficult for others to reach the same standards in all aspects.
And we can proudly say (see photo hereunder):
