Original S.O.E. Micro Rig

Having the need for something light and practical, but also durable,  on my shooting days I just could not make my mind up and having difficulties in finding the right thing. One thing was for sure, I wanted a chest rig, with the essentials .. mag pouches and a utility pouch... And one day my dreams came true; Original S.O.E. Micro Rig!

Front view:

The Micro Rig, is constructed with US Made 1000D Cordura Nylon, as for all the gear Original S.O.E. makes with 3 and 5 lines of top of the notch stitching.

Side view:

The Micro Rig, comes with 2 mag pouches, each capable of holding 2 M4 or AK mags and a 6 x 6 inch utility pouch. (in the foto hereunder, to give you an idea of the dimensions I have a OTIS Deluxe Military Cleaning System):

Usually in the utility pocket I carry my gun lube, gloves, cigs, car keys and other bits and pieces the OTIS Cleaning kit would be attached to my pack.

Standard Micro Rig does not come with Velcro on the outside, but as I'm a patch maniac I asked John Willis to create something special for me, and this is the final result:

You'll see under each pouch there's elastic loops.. for any needs!

Mags:

As you can see from the above pic, the Micro Rig comes with adjustable waist strap and adjustable standard shoulder straps.

Manufacturers also suggest you get a Slim Padded H-Harness, not only for extra comfort but also because it will allow you to add a Original S.O.E. Hydration Carrier.

I don't have the H-Harness (yet) but believe me when I say that even with the standard shoulder straps the Rig is really comfortable.

I must say this a perfect rig for shooting days and not being too bulky it is ideal for riding in vehicles (I have also suggested it to a couple of friends who will be imbarked on cargo vessels for protection).. not indicated for long range missions where you would need more space for ammo and other indicated items. But if you are going on a long range mission Original S.O.E. has all you need!
